Every parent wants their child to become a champion in life. In creating an environment for your child to succeed, have you ever been tempted to focus your greatest attention on your student’s weaknesses instead of their strengths? Out of your desire for them to be successful, you attempt to help them become stronger in areas in which they struggle. Do you ever get frustrated because you seem to be making so little progress?
According to years of research by the Gallup Organization, the strengths of an individual and enriching those strengths are the path to greatest achievement. Weaknesses need to be managed, but it is your students' strengths that can propel them to greatness. How liberating to know as parents, that your role is to release the strengths of your children.
Would you be willing to invest 3 hours and $25.00 (per student) to learn about the strengths of your children and how to motivate them in academics, in the arts, or in athletics?
The cost of $ 25.00 covers a strengths assessment for each student. The assessment, developed by Gallup over the the last three decades, will take your student 30 minutes or less to complete. There is a different assessment for students ages 10-14 and high school students. An assessment must be purchased for every student. Only parents attend the workshop. Bring your student’s assessment results.
You must pre-register and pre-pay so that your student can take the strengths assessment before the workshop.
The workshop will be facilitated by Steve Gahagen, the Senior Pastor at Prairie Oak Community Church, who is currently engaged in a doctoral program in cooperation with Bethel Seminary and Gallup University on Strengths-based Leadership.
